Pune, April 28, 2026: A man’s life was saved due to the timely action of two traffic police personnel at Market Yard Chowk in Pune, earning appreciation for their humane response.

At around 12:20 pm on April 27, 2026, Head Constable Tanaji Raut and Police Constable Deepak Gadge, who were on duty at the junction, noticed a man lying unconscious on the road. Understanding the seriousness of the situation, they immediately rushed him to Rao Nursing Home for treatment without any delay.

The man has been identified as Dattatray Randhave (47), a resident of Charoli. He is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Dr. Prakash Patil, Chief Medical Officer at Rao Nursing Home, said that the prompt response and humanitarian approach shown by the police personnel played a key role in saving the patient’s life.

The efforts of both officers are being widely appreciated for their sense of duty and social responsibility, said the Pune City Traffic Branch.
