Pune: Two Separate Cases Of Harassment Against Women And Minor Girl Reported; Accused Arrested
Pune, November 4, 2025: In two separate shocking incidents in Pune, police have arrested men accused of misbehaving with a woman and a minor girl in different parts of the city. The first incident occurred in the Nanded City area, where a young woman was stalked and harassed while out for a walk. The second took place in Vishrantwadi, where a 50-year-old man allegedly misbehaved with a schoolgirl under the pretext of taking her for a ride on his two-wheeler.
According to police reports, a young woman from Nanded City had stepped out for a walk after dinner on Saturday night. While walking along Sinhagad Road, she was followed by a man who had been sitting on a roadside bench. The accused reportedly caught hold of her hand and attempted inappropriate behaviour. When the woman raised an alarm, he fled the scene. Police have registered a case at the Nanded City Police Station and launched a search operation to trace the suspect using CCTV footage from the area.
In another disturbing case from Vishrantwadi, a 50-year-old man allegedly took a schoolgirl on his two-wheeler and then misbehaved with her. Following a complaint filed by the girl’s mother, the police acted swiftly and arrested the accused.
Police investigations in both cases are ongoing, and the incidents have sparked outrage among residents, who are demanding strict action against the culprits.
