Residents near Phoenix Marketcity in Viman Nagar are facing a serious issue with stagnant, foul-smelling water in the subway area.

For the past week, people have had to navigate through dirty water, causing considerable inconvenience and health concerns.

Aarti Sonigra, a member of the Pune Nagar Road Residents Forum, has acknowledged the problem. “I will definitely have a look at the subway and will make sure the issue gets resolved as soon as possible,” Sonigra said. Her commitment highlights the urgency of addressing the unsanitary conditions that have persisted for over a week.

In response, Sanjay Sampatrao Pol, Assistant Municipal Commissioner for Nagar Road, has promised immediate action. “I will send people to look into the same today itself,” Pol assured. This promise comes as a relief to the affected residents who have been waiting for a resolution.

The stagnant water not only disrupts daily routines but also poses potential health risks. The authorities’ swift response is crucial in mitigating the issue and ensuring that the subway is cleaned and maintained properly. 

As residents await the promised action, the focus remains on resolving the problem to restore normalcy and ensure public health and safety.
