Pune : Verification for Maids is a must, appeals Wanowrie police
The Wanowrie police have detained two people for allegedly stealing cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 3 lakhs.
Two domestic helps stole jewellery and cash worth Rs 3 lakhs from a bungalow in a residential society from Ghorpadi. The Wanowrie police were successful in nabbing the culprits.
Police sub inspector Santosh Sonawane led the team from Wanowrie police station and is now further investigating the case. The domestic servants first stole cash and ornaments worth Rs 1.1 lakhs from a Godrej iron closet. The accused attempted for second robbery and stole jewelry from a drawer and a cupboard, valuing at Rs 1.08 lakhs. Following the house theft incidents Wanowrie police has appealed to the residents that while hiring maids, house help, background verification is a must along with collecting their Aadhar card, Pan card and Photo identification.
