Pune : Wakad residents win silver and bronze medal at state level Karate championship
Rishit Kumar and Samarth Hegde, residents of Silver Orchards society, Wakad participated in Maharashtra State level Karate championship and won 2 silver (Samarth and Rishit)and 1 bronze (Samarth) medal.
Maharashtra State Karate Championship competition was organized by Sports Karate Association Maharashtra and was held at Vitthal Lawns in Hinjawadi. Participants from 12 districts of the state participated in this competition.
The winners will get the opportunity to play at the national level. The event was successful because of Ashok Vetal, Vinod Verma, Dashrath Sonawane, Naveen Kumar, Amit Thakur. Former corporator of Wakad Rahul Kalate supported and appreciated the event and boosted the participants morale.
