Pune Weather : IMD Issues Alert, Thundering and Lightning expected in Pune from April 5 to 8
The Indian Meteorological Department, Pune informed that the weather forecast for Pune (including city areas in & around) from day after tomorrow (i.e 5 th) evening onwards till 8, 9 April will experience thundery activity / lightning, momentarily strong wind is likely during afternoon/evening hours. This weather activity is likely to result in very light to light rain.
Activity may increase during the period of 6 – 8 April with light to even moderate rain in isolated areas. Our impact based advisories will come as & when required. The IMD informed that the citizens can check the website from time to time for latest updates.
A trough(dronika rekha)/wind discontinuity line exists from Vidarbha to south Tamil Nadu .The wind discontinuity line (hawa ki bisangati) over our State is likely to affect, initially isolated areas / districts of Vidarbha, followed by isolated areas of Madhya Maharashtra & Marathwada. This rain is likely to be very light to light with associated thundery activity/lightning & a very short period of strong wind.
