The India Meteorological Department (IMD) officials have announced that the state, including Pune, will not experience cold weather in the first week of December, but will instead have cloudy conditions.

As per the information provided, there is a chance that the low-pressure system in the southeast Bay of Bengal will strengthen into a depression within the next 24 hours, and then intensify into a cyclonic storm around December 3.

Anupam Kashyapi, the head of the weather and forecasting department at IMD Pune, has predicted rainfall and thunderstorms in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh in the upcoming days. Due to the weather system over the Bay of Bengal, Maharashtra will have cloudy weather, particularly starting from December 4.

In Pune, the sky will be mostly clear for the next 48 hours, but some areas may experience morning haze. Over the past week, Marathwada and Central Maharashtra have seen cloudy weather with some moderate rains. This pattern is expected to continue as the weather system over the Bay of Bengal strengthens. Scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is expected over the next 48 hours. The IMD has issued a yellow alert for Vidarbha and Marathwada for the next 48 hours.
