Over 20 women have allegedly charged a complaint of gang rape against Chairman of the Sirohi Municipal Council, Mahendra Mewada and Ex-Commissioner Mahendra Chaudhary of Rajasthan.

The matter came to light when a woman from Pali district approached the police and filed a complaint against the two accusing them of luring her and 20 other women by promising them Job opportunities. The two have now been accused in the case of gang rape of around 20 women in Anganwadi.

According to the complaint, the women with other women travelled to Sirohi to work in Anganwadi and the two accused promised to offer meals and accommodations to them.  The food they were given contained sedatives alleged the women after which they lost consciousness following sexual assault.

After gaining consciousness, their head hurt and their clothes were torn. The two accused with 15 other companions were present and when asked they all started laughing. The women knew what had happened to them though they were unconscious. The accused also offered the women to engage in physical relationships based on their demands.

Moreover, the accused also filmed the entire assault after which the women were blackmailed to give 5-lakhs each or else they would make the video go viral.

According to DYPS Paras Chaudhary, the complaint registered by the woman is said to be fake.

Currently, 8 FIRs have been filed and the case has been filed in the Rajasthan High Court following the petition by the women.
