Remembering the great duo: Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri

The birthdays of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri was celebrated with enthusiasm at Podar Jumbo Kids, Pimple Saudagar on October 2nd. Corporator Nirmalatai Kute was the chief guest for the occasion and she was welcomed with a bouquet of flowers by the Principal, Pranali Satarkar.

The events of Dandi March and Salt Satyagraha were beautifully depicted through paper sculptures. The various life events of the two great national leaders were encapsulated through pictures and also through activities. The replica of the Charkha made from waste materials drew everyone’s attention.

Talking at the event, Nirmalatai said that children get to experience the events of the past through such activities, apart from gaining immense knowledge from it. She also added that such activities should be conducted in all schools for the benefit of the students.
