Deccan Queen Express: Women passengers alert officials, minor fire put out
The train reached Mumbai later than the arrival time

A minor fire broke out at the brake pad of the women’s coach on the Deccan Queen Express on Monday morning creating panic.
As per the railway officials, the fire was noticed by the women passengers after the Lonavala stop. They reported the incident immediately and the fire was ceased on time, averting an accident.
A railway official, who wished not to be named, said “The motorman inspected the situation based on which it was decided to stop the express for some time to avoid any further issue. Hence, the Deccan Queen Express reached Mumbai later than the designated time.”
