Residents of Kondhwa Society Worried Due to Illegal Parking & Indecent Activities Near The Society

Residents of Bramha Avenue Society in Kondhwa are troubled by the consistent illegal parking of heavy and small vehicles & indecent activities by couples near the society’s premises.

Another resident of the area who complained about this to Pune Pulse said, “This has been happening consistently in the area that young people indulge in indecent activities taking advantage of the heavy vehicles that are parked. We are demanding that the vehicles be removed and patrolling should happen regularly in the area mainly when it turns dark.”

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Manish Ramsinghani, Chairman of Bramha Avenue Society, Kondhwa, said “All the residents of the society have been facing this problem for a long time. During the majority of the day & night time, heavy vehicles remain parked near our society without anybody noticing it. By taking advantage of the big size of the vehicles, various people, especially from the slum area, hide & consume alcohol, cigarettes, etc & engage in obscene & indecent activities. Whenever we complain about this to the police, they simply come in the area, heckle all the people & go. This has been repeatedly noticed by the members of the society.”

An official from the Kondhwa Police Station, said “We understand that this has unfortunately become a regular practice here. We are conducting continuous patrolling every 2 to 3 hours in day as well as even during night time. However, if anybody has a complaint, please notify the police station. We will immediately come and resolve it.”
