The Pune city police have filed an additional case against a retired civilian defense worker from the Command Hospital in Pune, who had previously been arrested for allegedly defrauding over 40 individuals out of Rs 49 lakh by offering them jobs at the hospital. The 53-year-old was initially detained in March during a coordinated operation involving Military Intelligence and the Pune City police.

The accused lives in Kondhwa and served as a civilian defense employee in the administrative department of the Command Hospital before taking voluntary retirement in 2019. He was apprehended in March as part of a joint effort by the Military Intelligence unit of the Southern Command and a team from the Kondhwa police station.

Investigations revealed that Kadale had collected money from at least 58 job seekers from Pune, Solapur, Kolhapur, Satara, and Sangli, promising them positions such as stenographer, gardener, and clerk within the Indian Army and other military establishments.

On Monday, a new case was filed against the accused following a complaint from a 53-year-old retired teacher from Dhankawadi in Pune, whose daughter was among those he deceived. He claimed that from November 2021 to 2023, the accused swindled a total of Rs 49 lakh from more than 40 job seekers, both men and women, by promising them positions at the Command Hospital. In December 2022, he even provided these aspirants with fake admit cards for a recruitment exam. However, when the candidates arrived at the Command Hospital, they discovered that no exam was scheduled and that the accused had already taken voluntary retirement.
