Pune city has shifted from being known for education to becoming a hotspot for criminal activity. Incidents of murders, shootings, and rapes occurring in broad daylight are on the rise. Following the murder of former NCP corporator Vanraj Andekar, another shocking murder has emerged in Pune. The victim, Sunil Sarode, was killed in the Hadapsar-Gultekdi area during the night. Initial investigations indicate that the murder stemmed from a longstanding rivalry. The suspects, Rohan Kamble and Shivsharan Kamble, who are related, are believed to have committed the crime due to previous conflicts. Sunil Sarode lived in the Dias Plot area. The two accused, who were released on bail, have been arrested by the police. The specific reason behind the murder is still not clear, and the police are continuing their investigation.

On Sunday night in Nana Peth, Pune, Vanraj Andekar was killed when criminals, who were out on bail, shot him and attacked him with a sharp weapon. His father, Bandu, also known as Suryakant Ranoji Andekar, aged 68, reported the incident to the Samarth Police Station. 13 people have been taken into custody by Pune Police from Mangaon.

Series of such serious crimes has raised alarms about the state of law and order in Pune. Just two days later, two suspects, who had previously been incarcerated, murdered a young man in Gultekdi. The motive for this murder remains unknown. The victim was identified as Sunil Sarode, and the suspects, Rohan Kamble and Shivsharan Kamble, have been taken into custody by the police.
