Riteish Deshmukh Turns Politician, Teams Up with Ajay Devgn in Raid 2; First Look Out
The makers of Raid 2 have revealed the first-look poster of Riteish Deshmukh, showcasing him in a striking political avatar. Sharing his intense look on social media, Riteish wrote, “Kanoon ka mohtaj nahi, kanoon ka malik hai Dada Bhai! #Raid2 knocking in cinemas near you from 1st May.”
In the poster, the Masti actor exudes confidence and authority, standing amidst a crowd with his hand raised. Dressed in a kurta paired with a jacket, he embodies the role of a powerful politician.
A day earlier, the makers had unveiled Ajay Devgn’s first look as IRS officer Amay Patnaik, hinting at another gripping raid in a new city. Sharing his poster, the Singham star wrote, “Naya Shehar. Nayi File. Aur Amay Patnaik Ki Ek Nayi Raid. #Raid2 knocking at your doors in cinemas near you on 1st May, 2025.”
Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, Raid 2 features Vaani Kapoor alongside Devgn and Deshmukh. The sequel to the 2018 hit Raid continues the journey of Amay Patnaik as he takes on another high-profile white-collar crime. Like its predecessor, the film is inspired by real-life income tax raids, shedding light on the intricate investigations carried out by the Income Tax Department and intelligence agencies.
The first installment, Raid, starred Ajay Devgn as Amay Patnaik, alongside Ileana D’Cruz and Saurabh Shukla.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar, Raid 2 is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series in association with Panorama Studios. The film is set for a theatrical release on May 1, 2025.
Additionally, reports suggest that the teaser for Raid 2 will be unveiled alongside Salman Khan’s highly anticipated film Sikandar, which is slated for release on March 30.
