Pune: Rohit Sharma, Captain of the Indian Men’s Cricket Team was recently slapped with 2 traffic challans for over speeding on Mumbai-Pune Expressway on Wednesday. As per information, he has paid the fines of both traffic challans.
As per further information shared by Highway State Police Officials, Maharashtra, Rs 2,000 was the fine amount of one traffic challan so, for 2 traffic challans, fine amount of Rs 4,000 has been paid via online payment mode on Thursday. The challans were issued to Rohit Sharma’s vehicle for over speeding.
Sharma received multiple traffic challans for driving at high speeds from Mumbai to Pune in his blue car. The flamboyant opener chose to make a grand entrance as he joined his team in Pune during the ongoing World Cup.
Sharma, who is well-known for his love of speed and cricket, drove at astonishingly high speed on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, exceeding speeds of 200 km/h and even reaching 215 km/h at times. These breakneck speeds resulted in multiple online traffic challans being issued to his vehicle.
