Pune: The state government on Wednesday ( December 13) approved Rs 333 crores 56 lakh to develop the Tiger’s point and  Lion’s Point tourist spots near Kurwande village in the taluka near Maval, Lonavala. Hence, adventure sports, light, and sound shows, etc will soon take place at these locations.

As per further information shared by Ramdas Jagtap, Deputy Collector, PMRDA, the development of a tourist destination with facilities will gain momentum. The aim is to develop & complete this project within three years.

For two to three years, the plan for the project was being prepared through the forest department of the district administration.

About 15 hectares of land of the forest department will be available for this project, for which the approval of the forest department will be taken. Therefore, the responsibility of this project lies with the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA).

Some proposed works at Tiger Point:

  • Glass SkyWalk which would be 125 meters long and 6 meters wide
  • Amphitheater having a capacity of one thousand persons
  • Light and sound show
  • Children’s play area
