Sales Executive Fatally Falls from Sixth Floor While Showing Flat; Two Booked by Hinjawadi Police

A sales executive died after falling from the sixth floor of an under-construction building while showing flats to customers. The incident took place on 23rd December 2023 at Nisarga Belrose Society in Wakad.

As per further information from the FIR accessed by Pune Pulse, The deceased sales executive has been identified as Ashish Zaveri (age 43). Ashish’s wife has filed a complaint in Hinjawadi police station on Tuesday (19). Accordingly, a case has been registered against contractor Gundu Kasnu Pawar (40, resident of Bhumkar Vasti, Hinjawadi) and head of sales department Abhishek Abhay Devane (26, resident of Wakad).

The FIR further says that construction of Nisarga Belrose Society building is underway at Wakad. Ashish was working there as a sales executive. On December 23, he went to show flats to a customer. While showing flats on the sixth floor, Ashish passed nearby the duct of the lift. However, there was water & wet concrete with no provision of lights. Hence, without getting to know about water & wet concrete, whilst Ashish was passing from there, he lost his balance and fell into the lift duct. The complainant has alleged that the construction contractor and the head of the sales department did not take care of the safety of the workers at the construction site.

The FIR has been filed against accused Gundu Pawar & Abhishek Devane at Hinjawadi Police Station under Sections 304-A, 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Further investigation of the matter is going on.
