PUNE : Samruddhi Mahamarg is going to remain closed from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. every day from October 10 to October 12  and on October 25 and October 26 due to installing electricity wires for the construction of a power grid transmission tower. 

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Ramdas Khalse, Executive Engineer, Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Limited (MSRDC) said, “The 50 to 55 km stretch, from Jalna to Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, will remain closed for 5 days i.e. from October 10 to October 12  and on October 25 and October 26 from 12 pm to 3 pm every day. The Power Grid Transmission tower will be constructed on Samruddhi Highway. For the work of installing electricity wires and construction work, traffic on both sides between Jalna and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar will be closed.”

As per further information, the following are the alternative traffic routes where traffic flow will be diverted during this period:

·         Traffic from Nagpur to Mumbai on Samruddhi Highway between Jalna Interchange (IC-14) to Savangi Interchange (IC-16) on Samruddhi Highway, from Nidhona (Jalna) Interchange IC-14 via Nidhona MIDC- National Highway 753 A (Jalna-Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar) till Cambridge School, then, by turning right, via Savangi Bypass to Savangi Interchange no IC-16 (Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar), the traffic will enter Samruddhi Mahamarg and proceed towards Shirdi.

·         Traffic from Shirdi to Nagpur on Samriddhi Highway, Savangi Interchange no IC-16 (Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar) via above mentioned route (from the opposite direction) Nidhona (Jalna) Interchange no IC-14 will enter Samriddhi Highway at this point and proceed towards Nagpur.
