Satara News : Mandhardevi-Kaleshwari Devi temple to remain closed for five days; Know why

The concretization work of the main road leading to the temple of Mandhardevi-Kaleshwari Devi (Taluka Wai) is currently in progress. As a result, the devotees are facing hardships. Hence, the temple trust has decided to keep the temple closed for 5 days i.e. from Sunday ( January 7) to Thursday ( January 11) to avoid any inconvenience.

The annual Kaleshwari Devi Yatra will be held on January 25, 26 and 27, 2024. During this period, lakhs of devotees from Maharashtra and other states come to the fort for darshan of the goddess. In this background, various development works have been undertaken on behalf of the temple trust and the government to provide better facilities to the devotees.

The temple premises are being beautified through the trust. For this, the shops on the northern side of the temple have been moved back and the entire area has been cleared.

Encroachments on the main road leading to the temple have also been removed. The work of steps ascending the temple has been completed and the work of steps descending will be completed before the yatra.
