Pune: Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has issued a strict warning to its affiliated colleges and recognized institutions, mandating them to update their NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) evaluation details on the university’s website by January 15. Failure to comply may result in restrictions on first-year admissions for all professional and non-professional courses in the 2025-26 academic year.
In a circular released by the university’s Academic Affiliation Section, it was emphasized that the NAAC evaluation process for the university is scheduled in the coming days. As part of the preparations, affiliated colleges and institutions have been instructed to ensure their “College Profile” section on the university’s website is fully updated with the necessary NAAC-related information.
The circular further states that any institution failing to provide updated data regarding NAAC accreditation, re-accreditation, or institutional registration with NAAC will face stringent actions, including restrictions on admissions for the upcoming academic year.
Institutions are urged to take this directive seriously, as adherence to government and university guidelines is critical for maintaining their affiliation and ensuring smooth academic operations.
