Second edition of Contemporary Signatures to feature artworks of over 60 artists

The second edition of Contemporary Signatures show in the city will feature artworks of over 60 artists at Monalisa Kalagram, Koregaon Park from September 30-October 9. 

These artists are well-known for their body of work in a particular narrative– be it their definitive figuration, abstraction, or media, which comes off as their signature style.

The show is being brought to Pune by thecurators.art – a contemporary online gallery. Co-foundersSapna Kar and Rajneeta Kewalramani, said, “The response and love we received from Pune audiences was genuinely heartening last year, and we are delighted to be back with a showcase of over 60 artists’ oeuvre – some repeated from last year and many new. We have tried to include an eclectic mix of art that ensures there is something for everyone, across myriad genres.”

The artist list includes masters such as Jogen Chowdhury, Jamini Roy, Sakti Burman, Badri Narayan alongside contemporary favourites like Ravinder Reddy, Sujata Bajaj, Seema Kohli, Fawad Tamkanat, Bose Krishnamchari and others.

The highlights of the exhibition include a brass relief sculpture by the iconic Ravinder Reddy, a mosaic tempera work by master Jamini Roy, two ink and dry pastel works by Jogen Chowdhury, a large mixed media work using Nadda Chadi by artist Kisalay Vora and a detailed work featuring Nandis by Vivek Kumawat.

Many young contemporary artists like Nishant Dange, Anand Panchal, Jagannath Paul, Asit Patnaik, Ganesh Selvaraj who are on the upward trajectory are featured in the collection. Limited edition serigraphs by SH Raza and Ram Kumar, and a gorgeous colour etching by Sakti Burman will also be on display.

The show also will provides a platform for local Pune artists such as Umakant Kanade, Madhuri Bhaduri, Amol Pawar, Dinkar Jadhav, Shola Carletti, Ramesh Thorat, Dhyaneshwar Dhawale, Vijay Dupatre to exhibit their work along with their counterparts from other cities.
