Separate Women’s chamber inaugurated at Mhalunge police station

Mhalunge: Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate recently inaugurated a separate women’s chamber in the Mhalunge MIDC area supported by Nexteer Automotive India Pvt. Ltd. Company in co-operation with Rotary Club of NIBM.

The newly built women’s chamber was inaugurated by the Police Commissioner of Pimpri Chinchwad Vinoy Kumar Choubey, who explained that due to the increasing industrialization in the Mhalunge MIDC area, a new police station was recently constructed. However, with the duty period of women constables being uncertain, a separate room was needed for them to rest and change their uniforms in the police station itself.

The co-operation between Nexteer Automotive India Pvt. Ltd. has set a positive example, and it is hoped that other big companies in the area will follow suit. This will not only benefit the police station facilities but also increase the enthusiasm of the police administration in its work and ultimately help the public and companies to receive prompt service.

During the inauguration, the Police Commissioner emphasized the importance of readiness among policemen to solve problems faced by people and companies in the industrial estate. He also guided the Police Patils, who are an important link between the public and the police, about their duties and responsibilities.

In response to the extent of industrialization in the Mhalunge MIDC area, the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) inspected the area and concluded that a suitable building for the police station is necessary at a new location. The Police Commissioner has instructed the Senior Police Inspector of Mahalunge Police Station to submit a report in this regard.

The inauguration was attended by various dignitaries, including the Honorable Deputy Commissioner of Police Circle-1 Vivek Patil, the Senior Inspector of Police Mahalunge, Dnyaneshwar Sable, the Senior Inspector of Police Chakan Police Station Vaibhav Shingare, and various other police officers.
