Sex Racket Busted Near Zeal College in Pune; Lodge Raid Exposes Illegal Prostitution Network
Pune: In a major crackdown on immoral human trafficking and prostitution, the Crime Branch of Pune Police raided a lodge in the Narhe Gaon area and rescued four women while arresting three accused.
According to police officials, the Anti-Human Trafficking Cell of the Pune City Crime Branch received specific information that prostitution activities were being operated at “Swarg Executive Paradise Lodge” near Zeal College in Narhe. After verifying the tip-off, police laid a trap using a decoy customer.
Acting on the plan, the police conducted a sudden raid at the lodge and successfully rescued four women who were being forced into prostitution.
The arrested accused have been identified as Abhishek Dilip Gavli (24, resident of Khed Shivapur), Ramu Sandu Devkar (24, resident of Sinhagad Road, Pune), and Mahesh Ganesh Nagne (34, resident of Narhe Gaon, Pune).
A case has been registered against the trio under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956 at Narhe Police Station, and further investigation is currently underway.
