An alleged drunk passenger on an IndiGo flight 6E556 from Jaipur to Bengaluru misbehaved with a crew member despite several warnings.
As per further information, Indigo Airlines has stated that the passenger was turned over to the local law enforcement agency upon arrival. They regret the inconvenience caused to the other passengers.
The accused is identified as 33-year-old Randheer Singh who was taken into custody after he was warned not to hold an air hostess’ hand but did so repeatedly.
When Singh acted inappropriately, other passengers saw it and promptly informed the flight crew. Given the gravity of the situation, the flight captain referred to Singh as an in-disciplined passenger.
As reported, as soon as the flight arrived at the Bengaluru airport, the cabin crew complained about the accused. After the incident was reported to the police by an airline official, the 33-year-old was taken into custody on Sunday (November 19).
Singh has been charged under Section 354A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and an investigation is currently in progress.
