Although the latter has gained a slight advantage in this competitive box office battle, the action film has still managed to perform quite well.
Rohit Shetty’s latest addition to his cop universe, which has already grossed over ₹100 crores, is set to debut on OTT platforms.
The film had a robust start at the box office, raking in approximately ₹173 crore net during its opening week. In its second week, it garnered ₹47.5 crore, and in the third week, it brought in ₹15.65 crore. With Thursday’s earnings, the film’s estimated total for the fourth week has reached ₹6.54 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.
The film is scheduled to debut on the Amazon Prime Video streaming platform on December 27, 2024, according to various reports.
Rohit Shetty’s direction introduced Deepika Padukone and Tiger Shroff to the Singham franchise. Ajay Devgn led the film, with Arjun Kapoor portraying the main villain. Additionally, Salman Khan made a cameo appearance as his legendary character, Chulbul Pandey.
Ajay’s Bajirao Singham makes a triumphant comeback, bringing his signature flair along with his allies: Sangram Bhalerao (Ranveer Singh), ACP Sooryavanshi (Akshay Kumar), DCP Shakti Shetty (Deepika Padukone), and ACP Satya Bali (Tiger Shroff).
They spring into action when his wife Avni (Kareena Kapoor Khan) is abducted by the villainous Danger Lanka (Arjun Kapoor). The storyline, including its characters and events, draws inspiration from the Indian epic Ramayana.
