Sinhagad Fort illuminated with several lights by Shivalay Pratisthan

Pune: The Shivalay Pratishthan in Katraj illuminated Sinhagad fort with several lamps during Deepotsav. The purpose of Deepotsav is to instill a sense of appreciation for the efforts of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Tanaji Malusare, who were revered for their bravery and became pillars of support for Swarajya.
The morning of ‘Vasubaras’ , the first day of Diwali in Sinhagad has been witnessing the celebration of deepotsav for the past six years. The occasion involves the worship of Tanaji Malusare’s samadhi amidst the beats of dhol tasha, while devotees offer their prayers. The samadhi is adorned with garlands and flowers and the Amruteshwar temple is illuminated with lamps, creating a mesmerizing sight of thousands of lights illuminating the entire area.
As per the information provided, few people sang traditional songs and performed in traditional Marathi paying tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The chants of ‘Har Har Mahadev’ and ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Ki Jai’ echoed in the atmosphere.
As per the information received, Everest heroes were recognized for their bravery and dedication. Anil Maske and Prashant Salunkhe from Sahyadri Trekkers, who actively contributed to the preservation of the fort, were among those honoured. Additionally, Vishal Memane and Sheetal Memane, who demonstrated exceptional performance as part of the Pune Police Team, were also recognized for their achievements.
