SNBP bags Inter College Pune Rural Hockey title

Pune: SNBP Arts, Commerce and Science College had to sweat before claiming the SPPU Pune District Sports Zone Committee Inter College (Pune Rural) Hockey title, here on Sunday 
In a hard-fought final, SNBP pipped Tikaram Jagannath College 4-3 in the ‘shoot-out’ after playing out a 0-0 full time draw at the Dr. Dashrath Bhosale Hockey ground, Moshi-Chikali.
In the final which boiled down to the being decided in the shoot-out, SNBP had Aditya Rasala, Yash Angur, Rahul Rasala, Karan Durga score in the ‘shoot out’, while Abdul Salamani, Nikhil Bhosale, Anil Kolekar netted for TJ College. 

SNBP had Sanket Patole missed his attempt, while for the losers Tikaram Jagannath College Sachin Kolekar and Mujawar Raise failed with their attempts. 

Earlier, in the semifinals, SNBP got the better of Gramonnati Mandal’s Arts, Commerce and Science CollegeCollege, Narayangaon 8-0.
Likewwise, Tikaram Jagannath College got the better of D.Y Patil College 4-0 in the second semifinal. 

The tournament was played among 4 teams on a knock-out basis.
