Sneha Ranajit Kalate represents a style of leadership shaped by discipline, empathy, and hands-on public service. With a Diploma in Computer Engineering, she brings a modern, practical outlook while staying deeply connected to grassroots realities. As President of the Ranajit Aaba Kalate Foundation, she has consistently worked among citizens, listening closely to their concerns and focusing on real, workable solutions.
For Sneha, leadership is never about titles. It is about responsibility. She strongly believes that true progress is possible only when every section of society grows together and becomes part of the development process. This belief drives her vision to develop Ward 26 into a model Smart Ward under the Pimpri-Chinchwad Smart City framework, one that is inclusive, efficient, and fair. Her aim is to ensure that every resident, especially those who are often unheard, has a strong and honest voice in the Municipal Council.
Her journey into social service began early, shaped by a family tradition rooted in service and social responsibility. Under the guidance of her husband Ranjit Kalate and her elder brother-in-law Santosh Kalate, she has led the Ranajit Aaba Kalate Foundation since 2012. Over the years, the foundation’s work in education, welfare, and community support has positively impacted many lives. Inspired by the values of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and the development-focused ideology of the BJP, the Kalate family has remained actively involved in social service for decades.
Public service is a shared commitment in her family. Her husband and son serve as RSS volunteers in Wakad, while her brother-in-law Santosh Kalate holds key organisational responsibilities as a BJP leader at the state and constituency levels. Inspired by the late Laxmanbhau Jagtap and guided by MLA Shankar Jagtap, Sneha has been actively involved in educational, social, cultural, sports, and spiritual initiatives across Wakad, Kaspte Wasti, Vishal Nagar, Jagtap Dairy, and Pimple Nilakh.
Her values were shaped at home. Sneha carries forward a strong legacy of social work from her parents, Kalidas Vadekar and Shila Kalidas Vadekar, both respected political and social figures from Chakan, Pune. Notably, both served as Sarpanch of Chakan. Growing up in this environment exposed her early to the responsibilities, challenges, and emotional realities of public life. This upbringing instilled in her a deep belief that giving back to society is a duty, not a choice.
