He said, “This road has become risky not just for motorists but most importantly for the pedestrians. Traffic Police and Pune Municipal Corporation should bring a solution to control the vehicular menace. Raised pedestrian on this road is the solution so that vehicles know when to curb the speed. I had written to the DCP Traffic Police office in May as well as June 2021. This year again in February 2022, I had sent a reminder to the office. On April 29, 2022 the road department has been informed to construct a raised pedestrian as well as install signage boards on this road.”

When Pune Pulse spoke to the junior engineer Kiran Kalashetti, road department, he said, “The work will happen soon on the road.”

Kedari further said that now that the PMC has got the approval from Traffic department the work should expedite. Citizen’s safety is of utmost importance.
