In a momentous event in Ayodhya, Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, head of the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, illuminated a remarkable 108-foot-long incense stick brought all the way from Gujarat.

This ceremonial lighting took place amidst a massive gathering echoing the chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’. Notably, it is claimed that the fragrance from this colossal incense stick will permeate a distance of 50 km.

Weighing an impressive 3,610 kg and boasting a width of approximately three-and-a-half feet, the incense stick was transported to Ayodhya from Vadodara, Gujarat.

The preparation of this significant religious item involved a blend of cow dung, ghee, essence, flower extracts, and herbs. Once ignited, the incense stick is expected to emit its divine aroma for about a month and a half.

This symbolic act comes as a precursor to the much-anticipated consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, scheduled for January 22.

The lighting of this monumental incense stick adds to the spiritual fervour leading up to the historic event.
