Stop nailing banners, boards on trees
Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation recently kicked off an initiative Swachagraha – to make Pimpri Chinchwad clean, green and garbage free city.
Similarly, Angholichi Goli – an initiative to make nail free trees – a city resident Madhav Dhanve Patil has taken up the task of making trees nail free.
His initiative was recently joined by Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Commissioner Rajesh Patil who removed advertisements, banners, boards, banners nailed on the trees.
Dhanve Patil alongwith Suryakant Muthiyan, Anju Sonawane, Ganesh Bora, Subhash Pati urged Rajesh Patil to include Nail Free Trees initiative in Swachagraha. Rajesh Patil assured that banners, flex fixed on the trees will also be included in the Swachagraha initiative. He said making trees nail free means respecting our nature.
