Bollywood critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh has highlighted the film’s impressive performance, noting that “Stree 2” broke the Weekend 3 box office record previously held by “Baahubali 2.” Adarsh remarked on social media, “The *Weekend 3* numbers of #Stree2 are an eye-opener, it has no intention of slowing down soon… At this pace, don’t be surprised if it challenges the lifetime biz of #Jawan and emerges as the highest-grossing film in #Hindi cinema.”
As “Stree 2” continues to draw large audiences, anticipation is building for its digital release. Prime Video has secured the exclusive streaming rights to the film, purchasing them for a substantial amount. The OTT platform plans to incorporate “Stree 2” into its festive season line-up, aiming to capitalize on the Diwali 2024 festivities.
According to an industry source, “Stree 2 will be the biggest digital premiere on Amazon Prime Video. Considering the eight-week window, the horror comedy is expected to premiere either in the third week of October or the first week of November.” The source added that Amazon Prime Video is keen to leverage the festive season with high-impact content, making “Stree 2” a key component of their Diwali offerings.
Fans can look forward to streaming “Stree 2” on Amazon Prime Video later this year, where it promises to be a major highlight of the festive season.
