Tata Motors has been at the forefront of promoting environmentally friendly initiatives, and the launch of CNG automatic cars aligns with the brand’s vision for a greener future.

Tata Motors has initiated bookings for the automatic variants of the Tigor and Tiago CNG models after teasing them recently.

As Tata Motors teases the launch of these CNG automatic variants, they are poised to become the first CNG cars in India with an automatic transmission.

Prospective buyers can reserve the Tiago and Tigor CNG AMT variants by paying a token amount of Rs. 21,000 at Tata Motors authorized showrooms or through the brand’s online portal.

The Tiago CNG AMT will offer three variants, while the Tigor CNG AMT will be available in two variants. Additionally, Tata Motors has expanded the color options for the Tiago, Tiago NRG, and Tigor. The Tiago now comes in a new Tornado Blue shade, while the Tiago NRG and Tigor offer the additional choices of Grassland Beige and additional shade.

Both cars feature a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, petrol-CNG engine, producing 72bhp and 95Nm of torque. Notably, the Tiago CNG AMT and Tigor CNG AMT come equipped with twin-cylinder CNG technology.

Rivals to the Tata Tigor include the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Honda Amaze, and Hyundai Aura. The Tigor is available in four variants – XE, XM, XZ, and XZ+ – offering a range of features including projector headlamps, LED DRLs, a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and more. The model is offered in four colors: Magnetic Red, Arizona Blue, Opal White, and Daytona Grey, with a seating capacity for five occupants.

The waiting period for the Tata Tigor is currently up to four weeks in January 2024.

Potential buyers are advised to check with their nearest authorized dealership for precise information based on individual preferences.

This development marks a significant stride in automotive technology, emphasizing a transition towards more sustainable and economical transportation solutions.
