Tax collection office inaugurated in Wakad
The news of inauguration of tax collection office has spread cheer among the residents of Wakad, Tathawade and Punawale.
Citizens from Wakad and nearby areas had to queue up at the Thergaon Tax Collection Office for tax related work.
To reduce the load from Thergaon Tax Collection Office, there was a need to develop another tax collection office for the convenience of local residents.
On Tuesday, March 8, the inauguration of this tax collection office was held under the presence of Assistant Commissioner of Tax Nilesh Deshmukh. The tax collection office is located at Wakad Gaothan.
About 60,000 property owners will get attached to the office, with a total tax collection of about Rs 191.92 crore.
“It was my constant follow up to bring this tax office in Wakad for the benefit of the residents. Today, after the inauguration, I have achieved my goal,” said Corporator Rahul Kalate.
