Tech Giant Google Celebrates Artistic Swimming Events at Paris olympics with Animated Doodle

The tech giant has marked the second day of artistic swimming at the Paris Olympics 2024 with a vibrant animated doodle. Amidst cheering birds, the doodle features three other birds performing synchronized stunts in a fountain, mirroring the precision and grace of the Olympic swimmers. Reflecting the spirit of the games, the tech giant commented: “The Artistic Swimming competitors have two things on their mind: sync AND swim!” The artistic swimming events, including the duet technical routine and the duet free routine, are set for August 9 and 19, respectively.

India’s Day 10 at the Paris 2024 Olympics was a blend of hope and heartbreak, with athletes coming close to but ultimately missing out on medals across various events. The nation had high hopes for ace shuttler Lakshya Sen, who was on the verge of winning India’s first men’s singles badminton medal at the Olympics. Despite securing the first game, Sen lost a nail-biting bronze medal match to Malaysia’s Lee Zii Jia.

The shooting team faced a similar fate as Maheshwari Chauhan and Anand Jeet Singh Naruka narrowly missed the podium in the skeet mixed team event. They were edged out by just one point in the bronze medal contest against the People’s Republic of China.

In a brighter spot, Avinash Sable made headlines with his performance in the men’s 3000m steeplechase. The reigning Asian Games champion finished fifth in his heat, advancing to his first Olympic final.

However, Indian sailors Vishnu Saravanan and Nethra Kumanan did not advance to the medal races in their respective events, adding to the day’s disappointments.
