New Delhi – The Japanese government has officially opened applications for the MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology) Scholarship Programme 2025. The MEXT scholarship aims to foster international ties by supporting talented students who can contribute to the development of both Japan and their home countries. Eligibility Criteria

  • Type: Students specializing in Japanese Studies
  • Level: Undergraduate (Certificate Course)
  • Age Requirement: Born between April 2, 1995, and April 1, 2007
  • Field of Study: Japanese Language and Culture
  • Number of Scholars: Up to 9 students

Scholarship Benefits

  • Monthly Stipend: 117,000 Yen (approximately ₹63,600)
  • Tuition Fees: Fully covered
  • Duration: One year (starting October 2025)

  • Qualification: Candidates must be enrolled in designated universities and have studied the Japanese language or culture for at least one year
