“If you are working on something that you really care about, you don’t have to be pushed. The vision pulls you.” Steve Jobs rightly said this.
Nischa Shah used to work as an investment banker in London, earning more than $256,000 per year.
After nearly a decade in corporate finance, Nischa Shah realized that the corporate world isn’t fully intellectually stimulating to her. Her motive shifted to helping out people therefore, she decided to follow her passion and created her own YouTube channel to create content on personal finance. One such incident allowed her to help her parents to avoid paying a tax bill of almost Rs. 43 lakhs after their accountant missed giving some key information and miscalculated.
She initiated her YouTube videos in December 2021 and it emphasized on self-development and personal finance, now she secured more than a million subscribers and the recent reports state that she earned more than Rs. 8 crores in one year.
This success led her to quit her investment banking job when she was 29 years old.
Currently, Nischa Shah creates content and videos to help others manage their finances and manifest proper management of their money and she feels liberated by her new career. “My income (isn’t) directly tied to the hours I work (anymore), but rather, to the impact I make, which is liberating,” said Nischa.
It truly is impressive how she exemplifies the importance of chasing our dreams and following our passion. The essence of feeling free and experiencing the freedom to work without pressure is the key to being ambitious and seeking excellence in life.
