Three Dead, Four Injured in Major Accident on Pune-Bangalore Highway Near Satara
Three persons were killed and four others sustained injuries in a road accident that occurred on Satara-Pune highway in the early hours of Saturday.
The incident was reported to have occurred at around 7 am when a tyre burst in one of the vehicles involved in the accident.
As per information, a car crashed into a pick-up vehicle near Mumbai Restaurant Chowk due to a punctured tyre. The accident claimed the lives of three people from the Jaysingpur area of Kolhapur district. Four others were injured and rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment.
The family was on their way back to their hometown from Mumbai when the accident occurred. They were visiting a relative whose family passed away recently. The accident led to the immediate assistance of police officials from Satara. The vehicle that was involved in the accident has been removed from the road in order to make way for traffic on the highway.
