In a disturbing case reported in Pune, a 25-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped after being threatened with harm to her children. The incident took place in the Swargate area, and the police have registered a case against three men.

The accused have been identified as Sohail Sabiq Khan (20) and Kalu Aban Khan (50), both residents of Chamdiak village in Pali district, Rajasthan. The third accused is Dildar Khaju Khan (27), from Hapat village, Jodhpur, Rajasthan.

According to the Swargate police, the victim had moved to Pune with her husband for work. They lived in a rented room near a relative’s home. The first assault occurred in June when the woman was alone at home. Accused Sohail allegedly entered her house, threatened her, and sexually assaulted her. He then strangled her and warned her not to speak out or he would harm her children.

In September, when the victim was visiting her relative’s house, both Sohail and Kalu reportedly sexually assaulted her again. The duo also threatened to beat her and ruin her reputation in the community.

Terrified by the repeated assaults and threats, the woman returned to her native village in Rajasthan. However, Dildar allegedly called her on the phone and threatened to kill her if she reported the crime.

The victim finally mustered the courage to file a complaint at the local police station in Rajasthan. The case was subsequently transferred to Swargate Police for further investigation. Police Sub-Inspector Poonam Patil is leading the probe into the incident.

The police have registered charges against the three accused, and an investigation is ongoing.
