Tourists places in Pune rural police jurisdiction to remain under strict vigilance

Pune: On eve of New Year, Pune rural police has made arrangements at tourist destinations to maintain law and order. Although no restrictions are imposed on the celebrations, strict action will be taken against people violating rules.

As Pune district has various tourist destinations such as Khadakwasla, Pavana, Kasarsai, Sinhgad, etc. People go to these places for celebration with friends and family.

Many citizens consume alcohol and create trouble for others. Therefore, the administration will be keeping a close watch.

Local police stations have ordered the hotel owners, farm house owners and party organizers to strictly abide by rules that are issued.

Sinhgad fort will remain closed after 6 pm. While check posts have been placed at various places at Khadakwasla, Sinhgad, Pavana, Kasarsai area, panshet, etc, strict action will be taken against the persons caught in the drunk and drive cases.

Ankit Goyal, Superintendent of Pune, rural police said, “The guidelines issued by the District Collector should be followed, but we will take strict against anti-social elements. Check posts have been installed at the limits of every rural police station. The new year must be celebrated peacefully.”
