Traffic diversion at Yerwada and Kalyani Nagar due to metro work

Pune: With the metro work starting at the Yerawada and Kalyaninagar, Pune city traffic police has issued traffic diversion for both the parts respectively.
“The diversions are done to avoid any untoward incident while the metro work is going on. We will put barricades where it is required to guide the people,” said Rahul Shrirame, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic).
From Bishop School, traffic to NM Chavan Chowk (near Koregaon Park bridge) will turn to the right at Gold Adlab Chowk to Kalyani Nagar Lane no. 3. from here traffic will move to NM Chavan Chowk.
The change in traffic route has come into effect from May 28 and it will continue till August 26, 2022.
At the same time, girders for the metro will be laid at Parnakuti Chowk near Yerwada bridge.
Due to this, the road leading from Sadalbaba Dargah to Parnakuti Chowk on the right leading to Koregaon Park will be closed till July 27, 2022.
Vehicles going from Sadalbaba Chowk to Koregaon Park should go straight to Gunjan Chowk and take a U-turn and turn left from Parnakuti Chowk.
