Training program on fire safety and management held in Shivam society

Training program on fire safety and management was held in Shivam society in Pimple Saudagar. The training was given by Lieutenant Gautam Saliwal (retd Indian Navy fire safety advisor and trainer). Saliwal gave a live demo and discussed and performed all the safety measures to be taken while fire occurs. Saliwal also guided and gave training to senior citizens and children’s on how to handle the fire safety equipments.

Chief Guest Kiran Gawde (Chief Fire Officer PCMC) gave  information about various government regulations and fire act for housing societies. The event was organized in the presence of Shatruguna Kate corporator Pimple Saudagar, Nitin Joshi chairman of FSAI, Virendra Borade national vice chairman of FSAI, also representatives from Vighnaharta technology and Pune fire safety demonstrated innovative product related to fire safety.

Chairman Sandeep Bhole gave opening remark and welcomed all dignitaries. FSAI President Nitin Joshi briefed about FSAI Vision and Mission.

“This type of initiatives should be conducted in societies. It is a need of hour,” said Kiran Gawade, (Chief Fire Officer PCMC). “The program was organized by FSAI and some of our committee members.  Overall the event was very good, for kids it was very much interactive.  Lieutenant Gautam Saliwal presented the demo in a very interactive way. Many other dignitaries were present,” said Vivek Sinha resident from Shivam society.

“One of our society member got this idea to organize a fire safety demo for our members. It is an essential and everyone must have fire safety knowledge, we liked the concept so decided to organize it in society. We got a very good response,” said Sandeep Bhole, Chairman Shivam Society.

The program was organised by Fire and Security Association of India Pune chapter.
