Numerous cars have been experiencing tyre bursts due to a hazardous pothole on the Pune-Bangalore highway at the Dhangarwadi bridge in Bhor tehsil’s Kapurhol in Pune district since Saturday night.

Travellers have reported that the pothole has been filled previously, but it gets washed away whenever it rains. The sharp-edged stone and tar inside the pothole are the primary causes of the tyre bursts. The heavy rainfall over the weekend led to approximately 35–40 vehicles encountering tyre bursts in the area.

As per the information received, due to the recent heavy rainfall in the past 48 hours, several vehicles have encountered tyre bursts. Passengers have dealt with three vehicles that had both tyres burst, but there are also many others with only one tyre burst. According to a nearby restaurant, approximately 15-20 cars suffered tyre bursts after driving over a pothole.
