Two-Wheeler Rider Falls Into Drainage Pit in Pune’s Narhe Area, Narrowly Escapes Death

Pune: Man Falls Into Under-Construction Drainage Pit While Riding Two-Wheeler in Narhe.
Pune has been witnessing a spate of accidents caused by ongoing construction projects, including roadworks and drainage installations. In one such incident, a two-wheeler rider fell into a pit dug for a drainage pipeline in the Narhe area.
A video of the incident has gone viral, showing the man trying to avoid the construction site but losing control and falling into the open pit along with his vehicle. The pit, part of a drainage project undertaken by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), was left uncovered, posing a danger to commuters.
Local residents quickly rushed to the scene and pulled the injured rider out of the pit. The drainage work in Narhe village has left several roads dug up, leading to frequent accidents and raising safety concerns among citizens.
Despite repeated complaints from residents about the hazards posed by poorly managed construction sites, such incidents continue to highlight the negligence in ensuring public safety.
