Unauthorised shops on footpath leave no space for pedestrians

There are several unauthorised shops on the footpath outside Salunke Vihar society which is taking up the space meant for citizens. In the past, residents have raised the issue several times but the impact of the action doesn’t last longer and the shops are back. Residents of the nearby areas often complain that the scrap dealer, pan shop, fruit and vegetable vendors create a mess on the footpath and make it unusable. They urge the PMC to take strict action against such shops and keep the footpaths free from any kind of encroachment.
