Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following criteria to apply for the UNESCO Internship Programme:

• Must be currently enrolled in a graduate programme (Master’s, PhD, or equivalent) or have completed their Master’s or PhD within the last 12 months before the start of the internship.
• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Candidates with only a bachelor’s degree and not enrolled in a graduate programme are not eligible.
• Applicants for secretarial, assistant, or technical/professional assignments must be in the final year of their studies at a secretarial school or specialized institution or have graduated within the last 12 months.

Duration of Internship

• The internship lasts for a minimum of one month and a maximum of six months.

Stipend and Compensation

• UNESCO does not provide financial remuneration for interns. There is no stipend or financial support available for internship assignments.

Application Guidelines

• Applicants must ensure their contact details remain valid for at least six months.
• The application form can be completed in English or French.
• If documents are not in English or French, an unofficial translation in one of these languages must be provided.
• Only selected candidates will be contacted by the hiring manager. If no response is received within six months, the application has not been successful.
