There has been a bizarre report of unidentified individuals chopping down trees on the Pune-Solapur National Highway. As per information, on April 12, at around midnight, the trees that were planted on the dividers were cut down in the vicinity of the Shewalewadi Bus Depot. The residents are demanding to find the people behind this and punish them severely.

It isnworthy to note that the Kadamb Foundation planted over 5,000 trees about seven years ago, five km from Hadapsar Ravidarshan Chowk to Kavadipat Toll Road. There are many different kinds of trees. Unknown individuals felled 15–27-year-old Indian almond trees on the highway.

The Hadapsar Police Station has received a complaint from the organization. The laws and guidelines about the preservation of trees are becoming stricter. However, some individuals are boldly felling trees.
