The Covid-19 pandemic has left people shattered. People have lost everything but not hope. Help keeps pouring in. There are people who are helping out with free meals, medicines, while some are also taking up the medical expenses of the needy.

Getting a bed in a hospital has become a daunting task. With people gasping for breath, oxygen cylinders have gained prime importance.

Realising the need of oxygen, Rev. Fr. Malcolm Sequeira – Vicar General, Diocese of Poona, has taken up the task of providing oxygen concentrators to needy patients free of cost.

He said, “Hospitals are full and families are struggling to provide oxygen to their dear ones. To help patients in this situation, we have purchased an Oxygen Concentrator Machine (more will be purchased soon). This will help provide oxygen to TWO persons at a time. This machine can be borrowed by a person in need and returned after the patient finds an oxygen bed in the hospital (max. 4 days).”

He is joined by Noella Kambli, who is helping out equally in providing this essential machine. She said, “To avail this facility we need a doctor’s prescription and the Aadhar Card of the patient.” The machine is available at St. Anne’s Church, Sholapur Bazaar, Pune.
