UPI Outage Disrupts Transactions Across India, NPCI Confirms Issue Resolved
New Delhi: March 26 – A major UPI outage impacted digital transactions across India on Tuesday, leaving users unable to complete payments on popular platforms like Paytm, Google Pay, and PhonePe.
The disruption, caused by a technical glitch, led to widespread complaints of failed transactions.
The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), which operates the UPI infrastructure, acknowledged the issue, attributing it to intermittent technical difficulties that resulted in partial transaction failures.
“The same has been addressed now, and the system has stabilized. Regret the inconvenience,” NPCI said in a statement on X (formerly Twitter).
