Vaccine on Wheels initiative kicks off in Pune

Ever since the vaccination drive began, several people, bed ridden, medically I’ll, senior citizens, mentally ill, orphans, HIV patients, differently abled patients often found it difficult to move out of their homes and visit the Vaccination centers. The demand for Vaccine on Wheels was on rise from the patients family members to begin with such service which would be great help for such people around the city.

Pune Municipal Corporation recently launched five vans which will roam around the city and provide vaccination to people with disability. These vans shall operate within the 15 ward offices of the Pune Municipal Corporation in the first phase. 

The vehicles were launched by deputy Mayor Sunita Wadekar, Leader of House Ganesh Bidkar, Pune Municipal Corporation Vikram Kumar, chief Health officer Ashish Bharati and additional commissioner Rubal Agarwal.
